Overview
TB-500 is an active fragment of thymosin beta 4. BPC-157 is a stable pentadecapeptide derived from a gastric protective protein.
Both are commonly used as a tool combination in tissue repair research.
Pharmacology and mechanism
TB-500 binds G-actin and supports cell migration and neovascularization. BPC-157 modulates VEGFR2, nitric oxide pathways and tendon fibroblast activity.
Research areas
Used in preclinical models of tendon and ligament injury, gut barrier integrity, ischemia reperfusion and neural repair.
Structural notes
TB-500: 17 amino acid fragment (Ac-SDKP extended sequence). BPC-157: GEPPPGKPADDAGLV pentadecapeptide stabilized sequence.
